How it works

Three stops to your refund

Set it up once in five minutes. We handle the rest, every month.

Connect your account

Securely link the account you use for contactless travel. Your details are encrypted with bank-grade AES-256 and only ever used to check your journey history.

Works with contactless cards

We scan for delays

Every month we download your journey history and cross-reference each trip against live service data, finding every delay of 15 minutes or more — before the 28-day claim window closes.

Money back to your card

We submit the claim, the operator processes it, and the refund lands directly on the card you travelled with. No forms, no queues, no forgotten claims.

Coverage

One account, every journey

If you tapped in with the same contactless card, we can claim for it.

Refund rules are set by each operator. We claim the maximum you're entitled to, every time.

Money-back guarantee

If we don't find you £15 in refunds, we refund the difference.

We're that confident. On the annual plan, if your first year doesn't turn up at least £15 in delay refunds — the full price of your subscription — we pay you back the shortfall. Zero risk.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is my account safe?

Yes. Your travel account credentials are encrypted with AES-256 before they are stored, and are only ever used to download your journey history and submit refund claims — nothing else.

How does the money-back guarantee work?

The £15 money-back guarantee applies to the annual plan. At the end of your first year, if we haven't found at least £15 worth of refundable delays, we refund you the difference. If we only found £8, for example, we'd refund you £7.

Which delays qualify for refunds?

Tube, DLR, Overground and Elizabeth line journeys delayed by 15 minutes or more qualify, and National Rail services have their own Delay Repay schemes. Claims must be made within 28 days — which is exactly what we automate.

Where does the refund money go?

Straight back to you. Refunds are credited to the contactless card you travelled with by the operator. We never touch your money.

Are you affiliated with TfL?

No. Mind the Delay is an independent service. We use the publicly available refund rules and claim forms provided by the transport operators to submit claims on your behalf.

Stop leaving money on the platform.

Most regular commuters are owed dozens of pounds a year in unclaimed delay refunds. Let us chase them while you get on with your life.
